Heart Disease Risk Assessment Norton Women's Heart Center
I'm a woman on the move. After retiring from the railroad after 30 years of service, it's hard for me to slow down. Despite my physical activity and relatively good health, three years ago my doctor diagnosed me with high cholesterol. In addition to making some changes to my diet and encouraging further exercise, he recommended I start having regular heart screenings to help keep track of my heart health.
After a regular check-up with my doctor, I set up an appointment at the Norton Women's Heart Center. Although the center was a short drive from my home in Clarksville, Indiana, I wanted to go to a place that specialized in caring for women's hearts. I couldn't have made a better choice.
The nurses and staff at the Norton Women's Heart Center, especially Beth, are so kind and compassionate. I trust my heart to them, and they give me the reassurance and support I need to stay healthy; both physically and mentally.
With my heart in check, I can concentrate on enjoying my family and friends. I walk up to two miles a day, bike when then weather is nice and work part time at a thrift store in Clarksville. I enjoy staying active and visiting my son in Georgia. I've visited the center every year for my heart check-up, and don't plan to stop anytime soon.
