Norton Healthcare offers progressive pharmacy services in a variety of inpatient and outpatient locations. Our highly trained pharmacy staff specializes in a number of areas including pediatrics and oncology.

Our online Drug Information Center offers instructions on how to take medications, what to avoid while taking medications, side effects and drug interactions.

Our pharmacists use the latest computer systems and state-of-the-art automated drug dispensing technology to ensure patient safety, efficiency and timeliness.

Services are available 24-hours a day either on site or with the use of Pyxis Connect, a scanning device that allows for physician drug orders to be channeled to the optimal site for review.

The Norton Healthcare pharmacy department also is involved in the training of pharmacy students and has ongoing programs with the University of Kentucky, Butler and Purdue's Colleges of Pharmacy.  A residency program to train pediatric pharmacists also is offered at Kosair Children's Hospital.
