Joint Replacement

Taking a walk, getting in and out of a chair, playing sports, driving a car – these and countless other activities may be difficult and painful if you are experiencing chronic joint pain.

Joint replacement is a common, successful treatment option for people living with pain and discomfort caused by arthritis, injury or other joint-related conditions.  Joint replacement surgery involves implanting a mechanical joint and removing damaged bone and cartilage.  Through new surgical techniques and implants, pain and recovery time have been significantly reduced.

Before joint replacement surgery is considered, our Norton Orthopaedic Care specialists offer a treatment plan consisting of medications, physical therapy and/or other treatment options.  Surgery may be recommended only when you are experiencing severe pain and loss of function or when other treatments are no longer effective.

Norton Orthopaedic Care provides the following joint replacement options:

  1. Reverse Total Shoulder Replacement
  2. Shoulder Joint Replacement
  3. Total Hip Replacement
  4. Total Knee Replacement
  5. Partial Knee Replacement
  6. Wrist Joint Replacement
