Kosair Children's Hospital is Kentucky's only free-standing, full-service pediatric care facility dedicated exclusively to caring for children and is an advocate for the health and well being of all children.

After all, Norton Audubon’s roots stretch back to 1927 when a Catholic community opened St. Joseph’s Infirmary on Eastern Parkway. Today, Norton Audubon continues providing the residents of Jefferson and Bullitt counties with advanced, high-quality care.

A group of local physicians with a vision were responsible for the creation of Suburban. In 1972, at a time when eastern Jefferson County was nothing but farmland, Suburban Hospital opened. Today, under the not-for-profit ownership of Norton Healthcare, the medical staff at Norton Suburban boasts more than 1,200 physicians.

Norton Medical Plaza at Old Brownsboro Crossing provides the following services in a convenient, outpatient setting: a multi-physician Norton Medical Associates primary care practice; Norton Immediate Care Center; Norton Diagnostic Center; several primary and specialty care physician offices; a Norton Sleep Center; and an office of Louisville Oncology, a leader in cancer prevention and treatment.

The new 127-bed, state-of-the-art Norton Brownsboro Hospital, opening in 2009, is under construction adjacent to Norton Medical Plaza. Norton Brownsboro will provideinpatient, outpatient, diagnostic, orthopaedic, cardiovascular and intensive care services. The hospital will feature spacious, all-private patient rooms, each with large windows, a small refrigerator and a pull-out couch; easy-to-find services; ground-floor parking; and a 24-hour emergency department.
